F.lli Gancia

Metodo Classico Alta Langa Brut

Obtained from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes from the best vineyards of the Alta Langa DOCG, it is a Classic Method with a duration of fermentation in the bottle of about 40 days and subsequent refinement for at least 30 months at a controlled temperature. Prestigiously wrapped in its yellow cover dress, Gancia Alta Langa Brut is the perfect synthesis of tradition, territory and innovation.

COMPOSITION OF THE CUVÉE: Pinot Noir 70% – Chardonnay 30%

DOSAGGE: Brut

PRODUCTION TECHNIQUE: A very soft pressing takes place in the Marmonnier press, located in the historical cellars built in the early 1800’s – classified today as a World Heritage site by UNESCO – where the first and best juice is vinified. Every single press and batch of juice is fermented in wood barrels and in sealed tanks, at controlled temperature, till the wines are ready for blending (cuvée). The cuvée can then be bottled and added with yeast/sugars for the second fermentation for about 40 days. The sparkling wine can then age and mature in the Gancia cellars for at least 30 months.

OENOLOGIST’S REMARKS: The intense straw yellow colour with greenish reflections is due to the chardonnay from high hills. Fine and persistent perlage. The aroma is harmonious, with sweet hints such as yeast, bread crust, dried fruits and floral notes. In the mouth, the taste is full, rich, with good flavour and structure, fragrant, creamy, with a balanced finish between the elements and good aromatic persistence.
