Millesimato 36 Mesi – Alta LangaD.O.C.G.
This product represents the authenticity of a vintage Metodo Classico brut sparkling wine, made from grapes from selected soils of the Alta Langa Docg area: a tradition which is experience and expertise in finding the best quality, the improvement over the years in achieving a high standard of quality.
Visual Aspect: straw yellow in color, very fine perlage, with good crown, rich and persistent.
Nose: The scent is very pleasant, expresses a set of intense scents such as vanilla, yeast and ripe fruit.
Palate: The taste is intense, with good fragrance, a balance of all the senses in the mouth and a very long finish, rich and persistent.
Grapes/blend: Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grown in the area recognized by the ALTA LANGA appellation.
Vinification: A very soft pressing is carried out through the Marmonnier press in the historical cellars of the early 19th century – a candidate for UNESCO World Heritage Site – where only the first run must is fermented. The juice is pressed and fermented either in oak barrels and in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, until the time of preparation of the cuvée, followed by the second fermentation in the bottle.
Sparkling wine process: Traditional Metodo Classico techniques, fermentation in the bottle takes about 40 days to complete.
Ageing: Aged for at least 36 months in the cool cellars of the House of Gancia at a controlled temperature.
Food pairings: Ideal as an aperitif, but also to accompany appetizers, pasta dishes, risotto and white meat.
