Vite Colte is the art of cultivating the vine.
The project got underway in 2010. The impulse which inspired the idea, however, began many years before, with one sole – but important – premise: the idea of creating wines with the highest possible quality, produced from vineyards carefully selected and cultivated with the maximum attention and rigor by the growers and the agronomists who advised them.
Vite Colte was created to take advantage, utilizing strict quality criteria, of the viticultural patrimony and experience of Terre da Vino, a historic cooperative winery in Piedmont. The finest part of this patrimony, with 300 hectares (741 acres) and 180 growers, constitutes Vite Colte, a “winery within the winery”, with a dedicated management of vineyards, fermentation and aging. And with separate labels too, including Barolos Essenze DOCG produced in some of the major villages of the Barolo production area (Barolo, Serralunga d’Alba and Monforte d’Alba) and Barbera d’Asti Superiore La Luna e i Falò, the flagship wine of the winery.
In 2016, on the occasion of the launch on the market of Vite Colte, the company decided to produce a classic method sparkling wine and in autumn 2016 the first harvest was carried out.
