Pasquale Pelissero

Pasquale Pelissero Winery, based in Neive, has celebrated over 100 harvests. Today, Ornella and her son Simone run the winery, heirs to a farming tradition that dates back to 1921, when brothers Giuseppe and Giovanni Pelissero purchased Cascina Crosa.

The true turning point came in 1971, when Pasquale Pelissero decided to bottle the winery’s first Barbaresco.

Following his passing in 2007, Ornella took over the business, expanding it and introducing new labels such as Alta Langa and Barbaresco Bricco San Giuliano. Today, together with Simone, she manages 8 hectares of contiguous vineyards surrounding the farmhouse, with a strong focus on quality and tradition.

The winery cultivates its own grapes following a traditionalist philosophy: a great wine is born in the vineyard. For this reason, they invest a lot of time in caring for the land in their daily work.

Since 2009, the cellar has been expanded to vinify all the estate’s grapes. The annual production is around 45,000 bottles, 60% of which are exported abroad to markets such as the USA, Canada, Northern Europe, and Asia. Vinification is carried out exclusively in large French oak casks, staying true to the traditional style. Ornella and Simone continue to write the family’s story, preserving the bond with the land and the winemaking tradition.
